Interview with Eduardo Medeiros

Abstract

The subject of this issue is: Trauma, Mourning and Melancholia, themes that were thought up based on the increased frequency of traumatic manifestations, mourning, melancholia, and even psychosis and masochism in today's clinic and culture. We were producing this call for articles on this subject when we were struck by the climate catastrophe that caused floods and destruction in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. As in every excess experienced, it takes time and work to understand and elaborate, and only afterwards will we be able to make sense of what has been demanded of us. With this in mind, we decided to include an interview with Eduardo Cavalcanti Medeiros in this issue.
