The article sought to highlight the relevance of the affects for the formation of the Ego, mainly, as well as of the Superego, which are needed to the establishment of the logic of the secondary process, as well as the principle of reality. In view of the current transformations, of an economic, political, environmental and technological nature, accompanied by expectations regarding a dystopian future, some constructions of Silvia Bleichmar were resumed, especially regarding the conditions of identification, to think of the relevance of the affects for the formation of the so-called “rational” thought, that is, that guided by the logic of the secondary process and under the principle of reality.
