Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, justification should be given in "Comments to the editor".
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Guidelines for Authors.
  • It is mandatory to fill in the Article Cover, with the article information. This document must be forwarded separately at the time of submission.

Author Guidelines

By submitting the proposal, the author declares that the text is original and has not been submitted to any other publication, and assumes responsibility for the accuracy of the data presented and the opinions contained in it. If the material is found to be plagiarised or unpublished, the SIG Journal reserves the right to disregard the proposal. In each edition, there is a limit of only one (1) paper submitted per author (co-authored papers will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis).

Only the contributions that fit into the SIG Journal editorial policy will be submitted to reviewers, and the approval or not of the text will be subject to their judgment. If the reviewers suggest changes, the publication will be conditional on them. The Editor and the Executive Committee of SIG Journal will take the final decision on publication.

Submission

Submissions can only be made on the journal's website [https://ojs.sig.org.br/index.php/sig/about/submissions]. It is requested that all the instructions below be observed before beginning the submission process. Only manuscripts that strictly follow the specified guidelines will be forwarded to the reviewers. All submissions must also be guided by the following technical standards, or the proposal will be disregarded.

The submission file, and the components of the article [lists of figures and tables], must be sent in separate editable files, in DOC format. The cover sheet [have the file available for review] is mandatory and must be sent in a separate file. The SIG Journal follows the ABNT norms.
